Former Teacher Uecker Continues to Support Math Students

Thomas J. Uecker

In 2007, Janet Uecker along with her son, Scott, created the Thomas J. Uecker Memorial Scholarship in memory of the long-time Huntington North High School math teacher.

Applicants must be planning a post-secondary education in a math-related field and have an overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The selection of the winner is based on the student’s academic record (emphasis on mathematics), involvement in school, community activities, and future plans.

If you have any memories of Mr. Uecker, please share them on our Facebook post.

We congratulate Ashlin Overholt for being the 2017 Uecker Scholar!
