We first launched our Hometown Grant Pilot Program in 2022 with the idea that if it was successful, we would like to replicate the program in other communities. With the Warren Hometown Grant Program being so successful, we’re thrilled to announce the Markle Hometown Grant Program and, with it, the Markle Hometown Grant Endowment Fund!

Our first Markle Hometown Grant application process will open on March 1st and is available through our online application portal. Grants are available to all organizations or projects that benefit the Town of Markle and its residents. A total of $5000 in grant funding is available each year for the next three years for the program. A committee composed of Markle community leaders will evaluate applications.

To support the Markle Hometown Grant Program in perpetuity, the Markle Hometown Grant Endowment Fund has been established. To encourage contributions to the fund, the Community Foundation is offering a $1 to $1 match of up to $25,000.

To contribute to the Markle Hometown Endowment fund by credit card, go to our donate page and select the fund from the drop-down list. Check contributions to the fund can be made payable to Community Foundation of Huntington County, P.O. Box 5037 Huntington, IN 46750. Please write “Markle Hometown Fund” on the memo line.
