Members of the Professional Piddlers Association are holding a fund raiser to secure dollars to build three additional obstacles at the fitness park in the spring of 2019. The Piddlers constructed fifteen birdhouse that represent the former Township and City High Schools that were open prior to the consolidation of these schools into Huntington North. The birdhouses are painted in school colors the show the schools name and mascot. The different shades of school colors can be changed if necessary. Each birdhouse will sell for $25, although “tips” are most welcome. 100% of all money raised will go towards purchasing materials for the three new obstacle.

Two of the obstacles will replace the crawling obstacle, which will be moved to the north side of the course. One replacement obstacle is a twenty foot log held up with chains and participants must try and walk down the log which will be swaying. The other obstacle at this site will also be twenty feet long and participants must crawl down a series of rolling logs. A salmon ladder will be constructed on the north side of the course by the tire flips. The poles for the salmon ladder have been set in preparation for next spring. An effort is being made to obtain funds for a fourteen foot warped wall

The birdhouses will be on display at Juergen’s Do It Center until Saturday, September 15th. Models of the new obstacles will be on display along with the birdhouses. If there is more than one buyer for a particular former township/city high school, special orders will be taken and new birdhouses built. There is also a birdhouse built for Huntington North.
