Immediate Needs Grant
Helping Charitable Organizations with Unexpected Expenses
The Immediate Needs Grant offers organizations serving Huntington County the ability to apply for a grant when an unforeseeable and unexpected need arises requiring a quick response that cannot be delayed until the next Foundation grant cycle. In addition to the project’s cost being unforeseeable and unexpected, Immediate Needs Grants will be evaluated based on the project’s merit and immediate purpose. Priority consideration will be given to those applicants that present a thoughtful, reasonable explanation as to why the project is time sensitive and requires a grant decision within 5 business days. Requests that are for the organizations regular budget and/or are not time sensitive do not qualify.
Previous project examples include support for warming stations following unexpected cold weather, replacing vital broken equipment, IT support after a website crash, replacing a classroom printer that broke down the first week of school, repairing a town’s visit billboard that was damaged during a storm.
There are limited funds available for Immediate Needs Grants each year. As a result, these grants are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only one immediate needs grant will be awarded to an eligible organization each calendar year.
