The Community Foundation is pleased to have recently published its 2025 Annual Report. Inside the report, the Foundation announced its most significant project yet – a transformational riverfront that will create spaces for community connection and recreation for generations to come. Along with the riverfront feature, the report highlights inspiring stories of nonprofit impact, community growth, newly created funds, scholarship spotlights and more.

The Community Foundation saw a substantial amount of growth and community impact in 2025. Assets grew by $8.5 million while the Foundation awarded more than $1.5 million in grant and scholarship support. Within the report, stories of scholarship and grant recipients showcase the impact of this funding. Behind these numbers are donors leaving a legacy of giving, nonprofits expanding their programming, students pursuing their dreams and communities building positive momentum.

Most notably, the annual report highlights the Foundation’s Riverfront Reimagined development, which was recently announced to the public. Funded through a GIFT VIII Community Leadership Implementation Grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., this project reflects a direct response to community feedback gathered during the City of Huntington’s Downtown Master Planning process. The feature contains initial project renderings as well as information on the project’s vision, planned spaces, frequently asked questions and more.

The Community Foundation is grateful for every community partner, donor, board member and volunteer who helps achieve its mission of connecting people and resources to address local challenges and opportunities in Huntington County. The community is invited to read the 2025 Annual Report here.
