Community Impact

The Foundation is thrilled to announce the creation of the Faith in the Future Community Fund, generously established by Charles and Kim Chapman. The fund exists to support local charitable organizations, projects and initiatives through the Foundation’s yearly grant cycles. Charles and Kim are passionate about giving back to the community and providing support for children and people in need.

Charles and Kim are lifelong Hoosiers who moved their family to Huntington in the 1980s, where they quickly became involved in the local community. Their notable list of community involvement showcases how their investment in Huntington goes far beyond monetary contributions.

Charles has served diligently as Councilman for the City of Huntington, a SCORE Mentor, Trustee for the American Water Works Association’s Distribution and Plant Operation Division, as well as various committee chairs for the American Water Works Association. He has also served as a Board Member for Huntington County Community Schools, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington County, Youth Services Bureau, Huntington County Historical Society, Kiwanis Club and Optimist Club. Kim, who previously worked as an Administrative Assistant for various companies, now volunteers at College Park Church.

Together, Charles and Kim have one son and two grandchildren. They firmly believe community is important and support from citizens is vital for the future. This belief inspired them to establish a fund that provides support to the community both today and in the future.

The Foundation is honored to uphold the Chapman’s longstanding commitment to serving our community and is eager to see how their fund will impact Huntington County for generations to come. Those interested in contributing to the Faith in the Future Community Fund can donate here
