The Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of the Joe & Debbie Wiley Family Community Fund. The fund exists to support local charitable organizations, projects and initiatives through the Foundation’s yearly grant cycles. As long-time Huntington residents, Joe and Debbie established the fund to provide support and resources to worthy local charitable organizations for generations to come.

“Huntington County has been our family’s home for multiple generations,” noted Joe Wiley. “We consider establishing a Community Fund as our ‘small way’ to give back to the community that has so richly blessed us.”
Joe is the son of Harry and Phoeba Wiley of Warren, and Debbie is the daughter of Philip and Barbara Souder of Warren. Joe and Debbie were married in 1984, and they have two sons, Andrew P. Wiley, who is married to Stephanie Wiley, and Mark J. Wiley, who is married to Chelsey Wiley. Together, they share five beloved grandchildren: Austin, Brayden, Parker, Annie and Reid.
Joe has served as a dedicated General Practice Attorney with Bowers Brewer Garrett & Wiley, LLP for over forty-five years. Debbie is a retired Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher from Huntington North High School where she passionately taught for over forty years.
Joe has served the community in various capacities with the Huntington County 4H Fair Association, Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington County, Historic Forks of the Wabash, Huntington County Baseball, Huntington County Leadership, Huntington Honors, Huntington University Foundation, Optimist Club of Huntington, Pathfinder Services, Viking Pride Adult Booster Club and First Baptist Church of Warren. Debbie has served with Viking Pride Adult Booster Club for twenty-seven years, and in various capacities with First Baptist Church of Warren.
Through their newly established fund, the Wileys are eager to leave a legacy in the community both now and forever. The Foundation is honored to hold the Joe & Debbie Wiley Family Community Fund and is eager to see how local nonprofits and charitable entities will benefit from their generosity for years to come.
“This fund reflects the Wiley family’s long-standing commitment to Huntington County,” said Matt Ditzler, Community Foundation Executive Director. “We are deeply appreciative of the time, talent and resources Joe and Debbie have so graciously shared with our community.”
